As I sit in the garden today on the 2nd of October in a fantastic 25 degrees, I cannot believe Winter is around the corner, the last few days have seen better temperature’s than we had in the summer and I am just loving it. Life is still a roller coaster, I never know where John will be working next, Joe and Graham are still looking for the perfect home for them and funding is all up in the air for care packages at the moment. Life could be much worse though so we just have to plod along, Summer has been poorly this weekend I guess a bug from nursery as she is now going two days a week and loving it, unfortunately Paige has also gone down with something so fingers crossed that is also just a bug. Imy is doing so well at school, but at home she is being a classic teenager, lots of eye rolling and stomping off yet she is still a very nice person to have a round.
Joanne and I are getting better at our tennis, we really love to play, we are at the stage we feel we can at least play together now, not just fire balls at each other and miss!!!!. In fact last week Jo was returning shots that she would never have got a few weeks ago. I admire our coach as he sticks with us even though we will never play at Wimbledon.
As most of you have seen John has put up my old cine movies dating from the seventies, these are mainly for my family as we have lost quite a few loved ones in them, but when I find the time I will write a little piece for each one explaining who is who as I have had e-mails asking me about them. They are all from my first marriage to Glyn, he is Joanne’s father, he was a very good dad and very good provider for us both, just sometimes in life people grow and change a little, sad but I always look back on those times as the best and we are still very good friends.
Next big thing heading this way is John’s fiftieth birthday so I am trying to make sure he has a nice time, we are going to Center Parcs at Longleat for a few days, booked a penthouse which is in the middle of the giant redwoods with it’s own sauna so at least we will be warm!!
As the pool is open I am leaving you all now to go for a quick swim before dinner oh I love a late summer. God Bless.xxx
