Il Verreno in Tuscany impressed with its spacious, well-furnished room and stunning views. The hotel combines excellent facilities, including a lovely pool and a restaurant with exceptional food quality. Despite some challenges with stairs and towel rail height, it offered great value for money. Overall, a highly rated experience worth revisiting.

Coming Home
We love our trips to Scotland and I feel that my heart belongs there. John has just released another song and made the video for it using dash cam footage.
More to Life
John wrote this before we married, it is a song about escape. Thankfully it wasn’t to escape from me, and this has been one of my favourite songs. I have seen it in its many forms and we even played it live when we were a gigging band. You can find his music on Spotify …

John has been busy…
The Christmas period was good for him, he had time to finish 3 songs within 4 weeks. He started off with a song for Christmas, unlike his song Angels it didn’t focus on the people have no one at Christmas, but those who have. Both of us really love Christmas, even though there is a …

Passionfruit Cocktail
I’m going to share one of my favourite cocktails for you. I love making this. Cocktails are meant to be a little bit wicked and this one is no exception. This cocktail is also known as a Pornstar Martini, but I prefer to jut call it a Passionfruit Martini. This is really lip smacking really …

Susie’s Ninja Roasted Cod with Potatoes and Salsa Verde
This is based on an old Delia Smith recipe that I have adapted for the Ninja and in her words “delightfully different and makes a complete meal for two to three people with perhaps a simple green salad with a lemony dressing as an accompaniment”. Chunks of skinless cod fillet are good in this, but …

Dublin and the music it inspired!
Since my husband went there to attend a conference, I have decided that I really need to see Dublin for myself, I might take him too. After all someone has to carry my bags 🙂 He has come back with how inspiring the place was, and it has even made him finish what he calls …

Susie’s Homemade Ninja Beef Burgers
This is my take on Gordon Ramsay’s recipe, and it is delicious. In the original recipe there is no red onion, that is my addition, if you don’t like onions just leave it out. This makes a great recipe for people who are caravanning or living in Vans as you can put them in a …

Too Much A Gypsy
On our second day in Scotland in 2022, we left St Fillans and started our long journey to Unapool in Sutherland. We used the Perthshire Tourist Route to link up with A9 to Inverness and from there we got on the A835 which is a lovely road with picturesque views. To provide with a flavour …
