Il Verreno, Tuscany

Il Verreno in Tuscany impressed with its spacious, well-furnished room and stunning views. The hotel combines excellent facilities, including a lovely pool and a restaurant with exceptional food quality. Despite some challenges with stairs and towel rail height, it offered great value for money. Overall, a highly rated experience worth revisiting.

Dublin and the music it inspired!

Since my husband went there to attend a conference, I have decided that I really need to see Dublin for myself, I might take him too. After all someone has to carry my bags 🙂 He has come back with how inspiring the place was, and it has even made him finish what he calls …

Too Much A Gypsy

On our second day in Scotland in 2022, we left St Fillans and started our long journey to Unapool in Sutherland. We used the Perthshire Tourist Route to link up with A9 to Inverness and from there we got on the A835 which is a lovely road with picturesque views. To provide with a flavour …

Newton Lodge, Sutherland

Review: Novatel, Cardiff

This was our third trip to the Novotel in Cardiff and proved to be very interesting as the night before we stayed here we stayed in the Marriot Hotel also in Cardiff, both 4 star hotels, so I thought this was also an opportunity to compare them side by side. We had booked the same packages …

Review: Marriott Hotel, Cardiff

This really a two part review as we snapped up two Dinner, Bed and Breakfast offers at the Marriot and at the Novatel in Cardiff. The second review I will be posting shortly with a comparison between the two hotels. We have stayed in other Marriott hotels and always had quality and good service, we …

Review: Beales Hotel, Hatfield

The hotel is family owned and ran, along with a sister hotel about 20 minutes from this one. The hotel sells itself as contemporary which it is, it is also classy and unpretentious, modern to look at in the most attractive way. The service is friendly yet very professional, I felt very comfortable from the …
